The CLEVELAND C14613 is a cobalt screw machine length drill bit designed for high-speed drilling in tough materials. Built to ASME B94.11M and DIN 1897 standards, it carries a No. 11 wire gauge size corresponding to 0.1910 inch diameter. The 135-degree split point reduces walking on entry and cuts with less feed pressure than a standard 118-degree point. At 2.25 inches overall length, the screw machine format provides added rigidity compared to jobber-length bits, making it well suited for work in tight clearances or on CNC drilling cycles. The M42 cobalt steel construction handles heat buildup during prolonged cuts without losing edge hardness. Two spiral flutes with a web-thinned, parallel web configuration promote chip evacuation and reduce torque.
This bit is rated for drilling alloy steels and aluminum in production and job-shop environments. Its straight cylindrical shank measures 0.1910 inch in diameter with a 1.0625-inch shank length, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. The heavy-duty grade classification and cobalt material make it appropriate for repeat-cycle applications on automatic screw machines, drill presses, and CNC machining centers where heat and wear resistance matter. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and metalworking professionals working with alloy or non-ferrous workpieces are the primary users.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.1910-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling alloy steels and aluminum on automatic screw machines, drill presses, and CNC machining centers requiring a screw machine length bit in the 0.1500 to 0.2000 inch diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking professionals following applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before beginning a production cycle. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not use this bit on masonry, wood, or plastic applications for which it is not rated.
