The bit measures 1-13/16 inches overall length with a 13/16-inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.0980 inches (wire gauge size 40). The 135-degree split point reduces thrust and self-centers on entry, minimizing the need for a center punch in many applications. Two parabolic flutes improve chip evacuation and help maintain cut quality at higher feed rates.
