The web-thinned design further reduces cutting resistance. At 0.1160 inches in diameter (wire size 32) with a 2.75-inch overall length, the C11686 is sized for close-tolerance work requiring consistent, repeatable hole diameters. It is installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals working in light manufacturing, HVAC fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
This drill bit is suited for use in aluminum and non-ferrous metals as its primary workpiece material, though its high speed steel construction handles a broad range of general-purpose drilling tasks.
