The CLEVELAND C11664 is a jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 10 (0.1935 inches decimal), manufactured from heavy-duty high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish. The 135-degree split point reduces walking at startup and lowers thrust force compared to conventional 118-degree points. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration further improves chip evacuation and cutting efficiency. The regular spiral flute geometry provides a consistent chip path across a wide range of materials. This bit is designed for professional machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working with precision hole tolerances in production or field environments.
The C11664 is well suited for drilling aluminum and other non-ferrous materials in light to medium production settings. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks on bench drills, hand drills, and CNC equipment. The bit conforms to NAS 907 Type B standards, making it appropriate for aerospace and precision fabrication work where specification compliance is required. Right-hand cut geometry is standard for use with conventional rotating spindles.
Designed as a jobber-length straight-shank drill bit compatible with standard 3-jaw drill chucks on benchtop drill presses, hand drills, and CNC machining centers accepting straight cylindrical shanks. Primary workpiece material rating is aluminum per specification data.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or skilled tradesperson familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the straight cylindrical shank fully in the drill chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing bits. Do not exceed the recommended speed range for the workpiece material and bit diameter as excessive RPM accelerates wear and can cause bit failure.
