The 118-degree standard point angle is web-thinned with a tapered web configuration, reducing entry resistance and improving chip clearance on tough materials. An oxide finish provides baseline lubricity and corrosion resistance. This bit is suited for machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians who regularly drill through structural steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials at extended depths.
