The CLEVELAND C08876 is a taper length, high-speed steel drill bit engineered for general-purpose drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built to the Series 2510 standard, it features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 118-degree standard point angle, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at the cutting edge. The straight shank and spiral flute geometry make it compatible with standard drill chucks across a wide range of machine setups. This bit is coated for improved surface hardness and wear resistance. It is right-hand cut and is suited for machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworking shops working with alloy steel, carbon steel, and cast iron.
The C08876 taper length design provides extra reach beyond a jobber-length bit while maintaining rigidity. With a 5-7/8 inch flute length and a 9-3/4 inch overall length, it is well-suited for drilling deeper holes in structural steel components, machine bases, and fabricated assemblies. The straight shank diameter matches the bit diameter at 3/4 inch, allowing direct chucking in milling machines, drill presses, and magnetic base drills. This bit is appropriate for both production machining and job-site metalwork where standard jobber bits lack the required reach.
Suitable for drilling alloy steel, carbon steel, and cast iron. Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose taper length drill bit compatible with standard 3/4 inch drill chucks on drill presses, milling machines, and magnetic base drilling equipment.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists and metalworking technicians using standard drill chucks rated for 3/4 inch shank tooling. Always secure the workpiece firmly and ensure the chuck is fully tightened before operation. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling cast iron or alloy steel to extend tool life and maintain tolerance.
