The CLEVELAND C04513 is a screw machine length (stub length) drill bit sized to Letter F, equal to 0.2570 inches in diameter, designed for high-speed steel drilling in general-purpose metal fabrication and machining applications. The bit features a 118-degree standard point angle, a web-thinned tip to reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation, and a bright uncoated finish suited for dry or light-lubrication drilling. At 2.625 inches overall length, this short-body geometry provides rigidity and is well matched to drill press, CNC turret, and screw machine operations. The straight cylindrical shank runs 1.1875 inches long and fits standard Jacobs-style chucks and collet holders.
This drill bit is intended for production and job-shop environments where a short, stiff drill is preferred over jobber length. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steel and aluminum. The Series 2120 design and ASME B94.11M compliance make it appropriate for use in turret lathes, automatic screw machines, drill presses, and CNC machining centers where consistent hole size and close-tolerance boring are required. It is sold individually and is most cost-effective when ordered in multiples of ten.
Designed for general-purpose drilling in alloy steel and aluminum workpieces. Fits any standard Jacobs-style drill chuck or collet holder accepting a 0.2570-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for use in drill presses, turret lathes, automatic screw machines, and CNC machining centers.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and confirm runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Always power down and de-energize the machine spindle before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and applicable OSHA guidelines for speed, feed, and coolant selection when drilling alloy steel or aluminum.
