The CLEVELAND C01832 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 64, with a decimal diameter of 0.0360 inches. Manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating, this bit is built for general-purpose drilling in production and maintenance environments. It features a 118-degree standard point angle, a two-flute regular spiral configuration, and a web-thinned, tapered web design that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a straight-cylindrical shank, it is sized for use in standard drill chucks and precision collets. Installation is handled by machinists, tool and die workers, and general trade professionals.
This bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and is suited to light-duty drilling operations where small-diameter precision holes are required. The oxide finish provides a basic level of surface hardness and lubricity. At 0.0360 inches in diameter, the C01832 targets fine-detail and pilot-hole applications across light metals and soft materials. It conforms to ASME B94.11M and DIN 338 standards, meeting ANSI specification requirements. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit for use in drill presses, hand drills, and CNC equipment where a wire-gauge size 64 straight-shank bit is specified. Primary workpiece material rated for aluminum; suitable for other soft to medium materials at the operator's discretion.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with small-diameter tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before drilling. Small-diameter bits are susceptible to breakage under lateral load — use appropriate feed rates and avoid side pressure. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing tooling.
