The CLECO MP4200 is a pencil-style air die grinder built for precision material removal, deburring, porting, and finishing work in tight spaces. Rated at 0.1 horsepower and 70,000 RPM no-load speed, it delivers high rotational speed in a compact, straight-handle form factor that fits comfortably in confined areas. The tool requires 8 CFM air consumption at 6.20 bar (620 kPa) and exhausts to the rear, keeping debris and airflow directed away from the work surface. It ships with both a 1/8 inch and a 3 mm collet, giving technicians flexibility across fractional and metric tooling without a separate adapter. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and industrial maintenance techs are the primary users.
The MP4200 is suited for industrial and production environments where fine grinding, slot cleaning, or surface prep must be performed in restricted access areas. Its pencil die grinder configuration makes it a practical choice for mold work, weld seam cleanup, port matching, and precision burr removal on metal components. The straight handle and rear exhaust design support extended use in oriented workholding setups where a traditional angle grinder would not fit. The CE certification and DIN EN ISO 12100:2011 compliance indicate suitability for regulated work environments.
Accepts 1/8 inch and 3 mm shank rotary tooling including carbide burrs, mounted points, and small grinding stones. Designed for use with compressed air systems supplying adequate CFM at the rated inlet pressure.
Installation and operation of pneumatic die grinders should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with compressed air tool safety. Ensure the air supply is shut off and the line is depressurized before connecting or disconnecting the tool or changing collets. Verify that the air supply meets the required 8 CFM flow rate and 620 kPa operating pressure to avoid under-powered operation or tool damage. Always confirm that rotary accessories are rated for at least 70,000 RPM before mounting them in this grinder.
