The CLE-LINE C65801 is a round threading die designed to cut external metric coarse threads on fasteners, studs, and cylindrical stock. Sized at M6x1 with a 1-inch outside diameter and 3/8-inch thickness, it fits standard 1-inch round die stocks and holders. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS), the die holds a sharp cutting edge under the heat and stress of repeated threading operations. The adjustable design allows the operator to fine-tune thread fit and compensate for minor wear over the service life of the die. Right-hand thread cutting is standard for this configuration.
This die is suited for machine shops, maintenance facilities, and field service applications where metric fastener threads need to be cut or restored. Common uses include threading replacement bolts, repair studs, and custom fasteners in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general industrial work. The M6x1 metric coarse thread specification is one of the most widely used sizes across European and Asian equipment, making this die a practical addition to any thread-cutting set. Machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians are the typical end users.
Designed for use with standard 1-inch round die stocks and holders. Cuts M6x1 metric coarse external threads per the 0710M series specification.
This die is installed into a round die stock of matching 1-inch bore diameter and secured with the set screws before use. Apply cutting oil liberally to the workpiece and die during threading to extend tool life and improve thread quality. Back off the die periodically to clear chips, especially on longer thread runs. Adjustable dies should be set to cutting position using the adjustment screw before starting a new thread, and only qualified machinists or trained tradespeople should perform thread-cutting operations on structural fasteners.
