The CLE-LINE C65739 is a round threading die designed to cut external threads on bolts, screws, and rod stock. It produces 8-32 UNC right-hand threads in a single pass and is built from high-speed steel (HSS) for durability under the heat and friction of threading operations. The adjustable design allows the operator to fine-tune thread fit by tightening or loosening the set screw on the die holder, giving machinists and mechanics control over thread tolerance. At 0.25 inches thick, this die fits standard die stocks and holders for the 0710 series. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users.
This die is suited for threading 8-32 UNC fasteners in production, repair, and maintenance applications. Common uses include re-threading damaged screws, creating new threaded rod ends, and producing custom-length fasteners on the bench or at a job site. The right-hand thread direction matches the standard for the vast majority of mechanical assemblies. It is appropriate for both shop and field use wherever a die stock or die holder is available.
Designed for use in standard round die stocks and holders that accept CLE-LINE 0710 series dies. Cuts 8-32 UNC right-hand external threads.
Threading dies are used by machinists, maintenance mechanics, and tool-and-die technicians. Secure the die firmly in the die stock before use, and apply cutting oil to the workpiece to reduce friction and extend die life. Always chase threads slowly with even pressure, backing off periodically to clear chips. Inspect the workpiece diameter against published tap drill and thread data to ensure proper stock size before threading.
