The CLE-LINE C65619 is a hex rethreading die designed to restore damaged or corroded external threads on fasteners, bolts, and fittings. Built from carbon steel, it handles the mechanical demands of thread repair in trade and maintenance applications. The die is sized for 3/4-16 UNF thread - a fine-pitch unified national fine specification commonly found on hydraulic fittings, automotive components, and precision fastener assemblies. Right-hand threading direction matches standard fastener orientation. The fixed, non-adjustable design keeps thread geometry consistent across repeated use without requiring operator adjustment.
This rethreading die is suited for mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC technicians who need to chase or restore threads in the field or shop. Typical applications include cleaning up thread damage caused by corrosion, cross-threading, or impact. The 3/4-16 UNF size fits fine-thread fastener applications in residential and light commercial maintenance work. It is part of the CLE-LINE Series 0650 hex die lineup, which is designed for use with standard hex die stocks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock rethreading die for use with standard hex die stocks compatible with 3/4-16 UNF thread repair applications.
Thread restoration work should be performed by a qualified mechanic or tradesperson familiar with thread standards. Secure the workpiece before applying the die to prevent movement during thread chasing. Apply cutting oil or thread lubricant to reduce friction and extend die life. Inspect threads after rethreading to confirm proper fit with a mating nut or fitting before returning the fastener to service.
