The CLE-LINE C22999 is a jobber-length drill bit built for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of materials. It measures 1/8 inch (0.1250 inches) in diameter with a 118-degree standard point angle and is manufactured from high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The overall length is 2-3/4 inches with a 1-5/8-inch flute length. The two-flute spiral design with a right-hand cut delivers consistent chip evacuation during drilling. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust requirements at the point. This bit is sized for use in standard drill chucks and is a practical choice for tradespeople and shop technicians who need a reliable general-purpose bit for light to medium drilling tasks.
The C22999 is suited for drilling aluminum and similar non-ferrous and general-purpose materials in residential and commercial service environments. Its straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard three-jaw drill chucks without modification. The bit is dimensioned to Series 1898 standards and conforms to ASME B94.11M and DIN 338, making it appropriate for use where compliance with recognized tooling standards is required. Typical applications include drilling pilot holes, clearance holes, and anchor holes in sheet metal, aluminum extrusions, and similar workpieces.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit compatible with any standard three-jaw drill chuck accepting a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is aluminum; suitable for general-purpose materials within the 0.1000 to 0.1500 inch drill bit size range per Series 1898.
Install into a properly rated drill press, hand drill, or driver with a compatible chuck before powering the tool. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened securely before operation. Follow applicable shop safety practices and wear appropriate eye protection when drilling. Do not exceed the tool speed ratings appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter.
