It is manufactured from M42 HSS-CO (8 percent cobalt) with a straw finish and two-flute spiral geometry. The bit has a nominal cutting diameter of 0.2344 in, flute length 2.625 in, overall length 3.875 in, a 135 degrees P3 split point, straight shank, and is made to NAS 907 Type J geometry for drilling alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium, and tool steel.
