The CHICAGO-LATROBE 43614 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for high-performance metal drilling in trade and industrial applications. Built from M7 high speed steel with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS bits. The 135-degree split point reduces walking and allows drilling to start without a center punch on most surfaces. The bit measures 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch decimal) in diameter with a 3-3/4 inch overall length and a 2-1/2 inch flute length. It is rated heavy duty and meets NAS 907 Type B standards.

This bit is suited for drilling cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel in fabrication shops, maintenance environments, and field service work. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and is compatible with both hand-held and bench-mounted drilling equipment.
