Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS. It measures 11/64 inch (0.1719 inch decimal) in diameter with a 3-1/4 inch overall length and a 135-degree split-point tip that reduces walking and lowers thrust requirements on hard materials. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design evacuates chips efficiently, making this bit suitable for production drilling environments. The 41611 is rated for drilling cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Its web-thinned, tapered-web construction reduces cutting resistance in tough alloys. The straight cylindrical shank seats in standard three-jaw drill chucks on drill presses, hand drills, and CNC machines.
