The CHARLOTTE PIPE pvc-600-10in is a 10-inch Schedule 40 PVC wye fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in non-pressure, gravity-fed waste elimination systems. All three hub connections are sized at 10 inches nominal, making this a full-size wye suitable for large-diameter sanitary drainage work. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight relative to cast iron alternatives, and solvent-cement joining eliminates the need for specialized tools. Rated for operating temperatures between 32 degrees F and 140 degrees F, this fitting is appropriate for standard residential and commercial drain systems where thermal exposure stays within those limits. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for large-diameter DWV work of this type.
This wye fitting is used in gravity-fed sanitary drain, waste, and vent piping systems where a branch connection is needed in line with the main run. The large 10-inch nominal diameter makes it suited to main building drains, large commercial stack bases, or primary horizontal drain runs in multi-story or high-flow commercial construction. The Schedule 40 wall thickness meets standard DWV service requirements. All three ports use hub (socket) connections, accepting plain-end PVC pipe with solvent cement per ASTM D2661 and D3034 application guidelines. Charlotte Pipe manufactures this fitting in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for Schedule 40 PVC DWV piping systems using 10-inch nominal pipe. Suitable for systems built to ASTM D2661 and related PVC DWV standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off all water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and empty before cutting into an existing line. Solvent-cement joining requires proper primer and cement rated for PVC DWV; follow manufacturer cure times before restoring flow. At 10-inch nominal diameter, fitting and pipe sections require appropriate support and handling during assembly due to size and weight.
