The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-429-4X4X2X2 is a reducing double sanitary tee cross fitting manufactured for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. This fitting accepts 4-inch run connections and 2-inch branch connections, making it suited for residential and light commercial drain lines where a single fitting must serve multiple branch tie-ins. It is installed by licensed plumbers and experienced pipefitters working on gravity-fed waste elimination systems. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight and easy to handle on the job site. System operating temperatures must not exceed 140 degrees F. All Charlotte Pipe fittings are manufactured in the USA.
This fitting is designed for non-pressure DWV applications including drain, waste, and vent rough-in work in residential and commercial construction. Its double sanitary tee cross configuration allows two branch inlets to connect into a single main run, reducing the number of individual fittings required in a stack or horizontal run. Typical install scenarios include multi-fixture bathroom groups and soil stack connections where multiple drain lines converge. The fitting accepts standard PVC DWV pipe and is compatible with solvent cement joining methods used throughout the trade.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for residential and commercial PVC DWV piping systems using 4-inch main run pipe and 2-inch branch pipe.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and clear before cutting into an existing line. Use an approved PVC DWV solvent cement and primer per manufacturer instructions and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting in pressurized water supply lines or in systems where temperatures exceed 140 degrees F.
