The Charlotte Pipe Foundry PVC 08102 2000HA is a Schedule 80 PVC coupling designed for joining two female pipe thread connections in pressure-rated piping systems. Manufactured in gray PVC, this coupling meets the dimensional and pressure requirements expected of Schedule 80 fittings. The female pipe thread on both ends accepts standard NPT-threaded male pipe ends, making it a reliable choice for threaded system assembly. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in both new construction and repair work where a durable, corrosion-resistant threaded coupling is required.
This coupling is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, irrigation, and industrial piping applications where Schedule 80 PVC is specified. The FPT x FPT configuration allows technicians to connect two externally threaded pipe sections or fittings without solvent welding, which is useful in systems that may require periodic disassembly. The 2-inch nominal size fits standard 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe and compatible NPT-threaded components. This part is also catalogued under universal part 830-020 for cross-reference purposes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC threaded piping systems using NPT connections. Also referenced under universal part number 830-020.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Apply a suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus approximately one to two turns using strap wrenches rated for plastic fittings — do not use metal pipe wrenches directly on PVC threads, as this can crack the fitting. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Verify the system pressure rating is within the Schedule 80 PVC limits for the installation temperature before returning to service.
