Schedule 40 PVC delivers high tensile and impact strength, making it a reliable choice for residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It offers better sound deadening than PVC Schedule 40 Foam Core and ABS Foam Core pipe. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary trade installing this product.

This pipe is suited for drain, waste, and vent lines as well as low-pressure supply runs when the correct fitting type is selected. For DWV applications, gradual sloping fittings are required.
