The Charlotte Pipe Foundry PVC 04010 0200R is a Schedule 40 solid-wall PVC pipe rated for cold water service in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Each piece measures 1 inch in diameter and 2 feet in length with plain ends for solvent-welded or mechanical connections. The pipe carries a pressure rating of 370 psi at cold water temperatures and meets ASTM D1785 dimensional and performance standards. NSF listing confirms the material is safe for potable water distribution. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe in supply lines, drainage stub-outs, and irrigation laterals where Schedule 40 PVC is code-approved.
This pipe is suited for cold water distribution in residential, light commercial, and irrigation applications. The 1-inch diameter and 2-foot cut length make it practical for close-quarter rough-in work, riser sections, and branch connections where longer sticks would be unwieldy. Plain ends accept standard 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC couplings and fittings using PVC primer and solvent cement. This SKU ships as a package of 25 pieces, making it appropriate for multi-unit projects or supply-house stocking. It is not rated for hot water, compressed air, or pressurized gas service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock Schedule 40 PVC pipe compatible with 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC fittings, couplings, adapters, and valves joined by solvent cement per ASTM D2564 procedures.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable local plumbing code and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing system. Cut pipe square, deburr and chamfer the cut end, then apply PVC primer followed by solvent cement to both the pipe end and fitting socket before assembly. This pipe is rated for cold water only — do not use in hot water, steam, compressed air, or gas service.
