The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 02107 1150HA is a white PVC reducer bushing designed to reduce pipe size within a run of schedule 40 PVC piping. Configured spigot x slip, the spigot end inserts into a standard socket fitting while the slip end accepts the smaller pipe. The bushing transitions from 1-1/2 inches down to 1 inch and is manufactured to meet ASTM D 2466 requirements for PVC pressure-rated fittings. Plumbers and irrigation technicians install this fitting wherever a line reduction is needed without cutting into a main run. The all-white PVC construction is compatible with standard solvent-weld assembly methods.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and commercial sprinkler and irrigation systems where PVC supply lines require a step-down in pipe diameter. It is also used in general plumbing drain, waste, and vent applications where a spigot-to-slip reduction is required. The 25-piece package quantity makes it practical for contractors stocking a service vehicle or completing larger irrigation layouts that call for multiple reduction points across a system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for schedule 40 PVC piping systems in sprinkler, irrigation, and general plumbing applications where a 1-1/2-inch to 1-inch spigot x slip reduction is required.
Installation is performed by plumbers or licensed irrigation technicians using standard PVC solvent-weld cement and primer per local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Ensure mating pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and cleaned before applying primer and cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring system pressure.
