The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 00107 2000HA is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing bushing used in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. It transitions a 6-inch pipe or fitting down to a 4-inch hub connection using a spigot x hub configuration. This bushing inserts its spigot end into a 6-inch hub fitting and accepts a 4-inch pipe into its hub end, creating a secure solvent-welded joint. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and commercial DWV rough-in work where branch lines or drain stacks require a reduction in pipe diameter.
This reducing bushing is suited for gravity-flow drain, waste, and vent applications in both residential and light commercial construction. Typical install scenarios include reducing a main stack or drain line to a smaller branch connection. The fitting is not rated for pressure service and should be used only in non-pressure DWV applications. Each unit is sold individually, with a package quantity of 10 units available.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for Schedule 40 PVC DWV piping systems using standard 6-inch and 4-inch nominal pipe and fittings.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local authority having jurisdiction requirements. Shut off and drain the affected drain line before cutting in or replacing this fitting. Clean and deburr pipe ends, apply approved PVC primer, and use solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 PVC DWV service. Do not use this bushing in pressurized water supply lines.
