The CHARLOTTE PIPE CTS 02102 0800HA is a 3/4 inch CPVC female adapter designed for hot and cold water pressure distribution systems in residential and commercial plumbing. Constructed from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), this fitting provides a female socket on one end and a female NPT threaded connection on the other, allowing a solvent weld connection to transition to a threaded connection. CPVC resists rust, pitting, scaling, and corrosion, making it well suited for hot and cold water service at temperatures above the usable range of standard PVC. This fitting is lead free and meets NSF listing and ANSI IAPMO certification requirements.
This adapter is used in residential and commercial water distribution piping where a CPVC solvent-welded line must connect to a female NPT threaded fitting, valve, or fixture. It is appropriate for hot and cold potable water lines as well as hot corrosive liquid distribution applications. The fitting is not rated for use with gases or compressed air. Installation requires solvent cement on the socket end and a compatible threaded male fitting on the NPT end. It is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style CPVC fitting for residential and commercial hot and cold water pressure distribution systems requiring a solvent weld socket to female NPT threaded transition at 3/4 inch size.
A licensed plumber should install this fitting in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) as applicable. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. Apply listed CPVC solvent cement to the socket end per the cement manufacturer's instructions; do not use PVC cement in place of CPVC-rated cement. Verify that the threaded male fitting used on the NPT end is compatible with CPVC and apply thread sealant appropriate for potable water service.
