The CHAMPION 868-1 is a conventional spark plug designed for lawn and garden engine applications. It features nickel alloy electrodes paired with a copper core center electrode, a construction that promotes increased electrical conductivity and more consistent heat dissipation during engine operation. This plug is suited for small gasoline engines found in outdoor power equipment. Installation is typically performed by small-engine technicians or experienced equipment operators during routine tune-up and maintenance service.
This spark plug is intended for use in lawn and garden power equipment powered by small four-cycle or two-cycle gasoline engines. Typical applications include walk-behind lawn mowers, riding mowers, and similar outdoor power tools that require a standard-thread conventional spark plug. It is sold individually per card.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement spark plug for small lawn and garden gasoline engines requiring a conventional nickel alloy plug in this fitment class.
Spark plug replacement on small engines should be performed with the engine completely off and the ignition wire disconnected from the old plug before service begins. Use a spark plug socket and torque wrench appropriate for the engine manufacturer specifications listed in the equipment service manual. Follow the engine manufacturer gap specification before installation — do not assume the plug is pre-gapped to the correct value for every application. Consult ANSI and engine manufacturer service guidelines for proper installation procedure.
