The CERROBRASS 69A-6D is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 3/8-inch OD tubing to a 1/2-inch NPT male threaded port at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from brass with a 9/16-24 compression thread, this fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 400 psi and operates across a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 212 degrees F. It meets SAE standards and is suitable for plumbing, refrigeration, fuel, and hydraulic line applications where a direction change and a transition from compression to male pipe thread are required. Licensed trades and experienced installers use this fitting in both residential and light commercial installations.
This fitting is used wherever a compression-to-MNPT transition is needed in a confined or angled run. The male elbow configuration allows tubing to enter from one direction while threading directly into a female NPT port, eliminating additional adapters. Typical applications include fuel lines, water supply connections, pneumatic controls, and refrigeration copper tubing runs. The brass construction makes it compatible with copper and compatible soft tubing in systems that call for SAE-rated fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 3/8-inch OD compression tube connection to a 1/2-inch NPT male port, in accordance with SAE fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician familiar with compression fitting procedures. Shut off the water, fuel, or fluid supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the fitting, then turn an additional one-quarter to one-half turn with a wrench - do not overtighten, as brass compression fittings can crack or deform the ferrule. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads in accordance with local plumbing codes before threading into the mating port.
