The CERROBRASS 62NAB-6 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two lengths of 3/8-inch outside diameter nylon air brake tubing using compression x compression end connections. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, this union is built to SAE standards and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in demanding brake system plumbing environments. It is installed by fleet mechanics, air brake service technicians, and experienced plumbing trades working on compressed-air distribution lines.
This fitting is suited for air brake plumbing applications in commercial and fleet service environments where nylon tubing is routed and joined. The compression x compression configuration allows for secure, tool-assisted connections without soldering or threading the tube. Its compact dimensions make it practical for tight routing in vehicle chassis or equipment enclosures where space is limited. Consult applicable SAE and DOT standards for air brake line assembly requirements before installation.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch outside diameter nylon air brake tubing in SAE-compliant air brake plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified air brake service technician or licensed mechanic familiar with SAE and applicable DOT air brake regulations. Depressurize the air system completely before disconnecting or installing any compression fittings. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and free of burrs before seating into the compression fitting. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as excess force can crack the fitting body or damage the tubing.
