Cerrobrass 5AS-12E Female Hose Fpt Swivel Brass Fitting

Product Description

The CERROBRASS 5AS-12E is a brass garden hose fitting designed to connect a female hose end to a female pipe thread using a swivel configuration. The swivel design allows rotation during connection, reducing hose twisting and making it easier to seat the fitting without binding. Constructed from brass, this fitting offers corrosion resistance and durability in wet outdoor and plumbing applications. It uses Female Pipe Thread (FPT) on the pipe side. Plumbers, irrigation techs, and experienced DIYers working on hose bibs, outdoor supply lines, or portable water connections will find this a straightforward, reliable coupling solution.

This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a garden hose must terminate or connect to a female pipe thread port. Typical install scenarios include hose bib extensions, outdoor faucet adapters, portable equipment hookups, and irrigation system tap points. The swivel feature is particularly useful in tight spaces where spinning the full hose assembly is not practical. The brass construction makes it compatible with standard potable water supply lines.

Key Features

• Female hose to female pipe swivel configuration reduces hose twist during connection
• FPT thread type for compatibility with standard female pipe thread ports
• Brass construction provides corrosion resistance for outdoor and wet environments
• Swivel action allows easy hand-tightening without binding the hose
• Compact, single-piece fitting with no additional components required

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use fitting for standard garden hose and female pipe thread connections in residential and light commercial plumbing and irrigation systems.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a plumber or irrigation technician. Shut off the water supply to the line before making or breaking any connections. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the FPT threads as required by local plumbing code before tightening. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
