The CERROBRASS 127A-B is a 1/4-inch industrial pipe street tee designed for use in pressurized fluid and gas distribution systems. This fitting combines a male NPTF thread on one end with female NPTF threads on the branch and run, allowing a tee connection to be made directly from an existing threaded pipe without an additional nipple. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1,200 psi, making it suitable for demanding industrial and mechanical service applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors typically install this type of fitting during new construction or retrofit work on compressed air, hydraulic, or fluid piping systems.
This street tee is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC piping, compressed air distribution, and general industrial fluid systems where 1/4-inch NPTF threaded connections are required. The NPTF thread standard provides a pressure-tight seal through thread-form interference, which reduces reliance on supplemental sealants in many applications. It is sold individually and is appropriate for low- to high-pressure branch line installations in tight spaces where a standard tee and nipple combination would not fit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/4-inch NPTF threaded pipe systems in industrial, mechanical, and plumbing applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and IFGC requirements for the service fluid and pressure rating. Depressurize and isolate the pipe section completely before making or breaking any threaded connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape as required by the system fluid and local code, noting that NPTF threads may form a pressure-tight joint through thread interference alone in some applications. Inspect threads for damage before installation and do not overtighten, as brass fittings can be damaged by excessive torque.
