The CERRO FLOW PRODUCTS LLC 1546 is a Type L hard copper tube sold in a 10-piece pack, with each length measuring 3/4 inch diameter by 5 feet. Type L copper is recognized by its blue markings and features a wall thickness that sits between the lighter Type M and the heavier Type K, making it the standard choice for residential and light commercial water distribution, HVAC refrigerant lines, and hydronic heating systems. The hard-drawn temper means the tube holds its shape under pressure and requires no additional support over standard spans. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this tube using sweat, press-fit, or compression fittings in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.
This tube is suited for above-ground and in-wall potable water supply lines, hot and cold domestic plumbing, radiant heating supply and return runs, and refrigerant piping in split-system and commercial HVAC applications where Type L is specified by design. The 5-foot cut length is practical for rough-in work, fixture drops, and short branch runs where full 10-foot or 20-foot sticks would require additional cutting and handling.
