The CENTAUR 70056 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG100 and PG100 toolholding systems used in machining and metalworking applications. It accepts a 0.9531 inch (61/64 inch) workpiece or tool shank and delivers a total indicated runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for precision turning, milling, and grinding operations. The collet measures 2.38 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.38 inches. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC and manual machine tool setups requiring consistent clamping force and repeatable tool positioning.
This collet is suited for use in production machining environments where TG100 or PG100 collet chucks are already in service. Typical applications include high-speed spindle work, tool grinding fixtures, and precision workholding on lathes, mills, and grinders. The 0.9531 inch bore size targets near-one-inch shank tooling or round stock within that exact diameter range. Both light-duty and production-volume shops use this collet series for its consistent concentricity performance.
Designed for use with TG100 and PG100 collet chuck systems. Verify chuck series and bore specifications before installation to confirm fitment.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the collet. Use the appropriate collet nut and spanner wrench specified for the TG100 or PG100 chuck; do not use makeshift tools that can damage the collet taper or nut threads. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or contamination before seating to maintain TIR performance.
