The CENTAUR 70038 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG100 and PG100 tooling systems. It holds workpieces or cutting tools with a bore size of 0.6719 inches (43/64 inch) and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for precision machining applications that demand consistent concentricity. The collet measures 2.38 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.38 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet in compatible TG100 and PG100 collet chucks on mills, lathes, and machining centers where repeatable tool holding is required.
This collet is intended for use in machine shop and production environments where TG100 or PG100 collet systems are already in service. It accepts round stock, end mills, drills, and other round-shank tooling at the 43/64 inch size. The standard single angle design conforms to established TG100 and PG100 collet geometry, providing a drop-in fit in any chuck built to that specification. Both light-duty and production-volume machining operations benefit from the consistent clamping force and low runout this collet provides.
Designed for use with TG100 and PG100 collet chuck systems. Accepts round-shank tooling and workpieces at the 43/64 inch (0.6719 inch) diameter.
Installation and removal of collets should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Use the appropriate collet nut wrench for the TG100 or PG100 chuck to seat and torque the collet nut — do not use improvised tooling that could damage the collet or chuck threads. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or debris before installation, as contamination will directly affect runout. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing tooling.
