The CENTAUR 70021 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG100 and PG100 toolholding systems. It accepts a 0.4063 inch (13/32 inch) bore diameter and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for precision machining applications where concentricity matters. The collet measures 2.38 inches overall length with a body diameter of 1.38 inches. Machinists and tool room technicians install this collet into compatible TG100 and PG100 collet chucks on milling machines, lathes, and machining centers to achieve accurate, repeatable workholding and tool clamping.
This collet is used in production and job shop environments where TG100 or PG100 collet systems are already in service. Its 13/32 inch bore makes it appropriate for holding round stock, drill shanks, or end mill shanks of that diameter. It is sold individually and fits residential shop, light industrial, and commercial machine tool applications alike. Qualified machinists and CNC operators are the typical installers in both manual and automated machining setups.
Designed for use in TG100 and PG100 collet chuck systems. Verify that the host chuck is rated for the TG100 or PG100 collet series before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool room technicians. Before inserting or removing the collet, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is de-energized or unlocked per the machine tool manufacturer's procedure. Use the correct collet nut and wrench for the TG100 or PG100 chuck to avoid damage to the collet taper or chuck bore. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or debris before seating.
