The CENTAUR 70020 is a standard single angle collet in the TG/PG 100 series, designed for precision workholding in CNC machining and milling applications. It accepts a 0.3906 inch (25/64 inch) bore diameter and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance toolholding. The collet measures 2.38 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.38 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet into compatible TG/PG 100 toolholders on machining centers and milling machines where consistent tool concentricity is required.
This collet is used in production and job-shop environments where TG/PG 100 series toolholding systems are in service. It is appropriate for holding end mills, drills, reamers, and similar round-shank cutting tools with a 0.3906 inch shank diameter. The standard single angle design is a common configuration across vertical and horizontal machining centers in both light and heavy-duty cutting operations.
Designed for use with TG/PG 100 series toolholding systems accepting a standard single angle collet with a 1.38 inch body diameter and 2.38 inch overall length.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The spindle or toolholder must be fully powered down and the machine placed in an inoperative state before changing collets. Clean the collet bore and toolholder taper thoroughly before seating the collet to prevent runout issues. Do not exceed the collet bore rating by forcing an oversized tool shank into the collet.
