The CENTAUR 70010 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG/PG 100 collet systems. It accepts a 0.2344 inch (15/64 inch) bore diameter and is manufactured to a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for precision toolholding applications in machining operations. With an overall length of 2.375 inches and a maximum body diameter of 1.38 inches, this collet fits standard TG 100 toolholders used on milling machines, machining centers, and similar equipment. Machinists, tool crib technicians, and CNC operators are the primary users of this type of collet.
This collet is intended for use in TG/PG 100 series toolholding systems on vertical and horizontal machining centers, knee mills, and similar machine tools found in production and job shop environments. It is suited for holding straight-shank cutting tools, drills, end mills, and reamers at the specified bore size. The precision TIR rating supports accurate, repeatable tool positioning in both roughing and finishing operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment collet for TG/PG 100 series toolholding systems accepting a 0.2344 inch bore diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool crib technician. Ensure the toolholder and collet mating surfaces are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the collet. Use the appropriate TG 100 spanner wrench and draw-in nut torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect TIR at the tool shank after assembly to confirm runout is within tolerance before running the spindle.
