The CENTAUR 50041 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG75 and PG75 collet systems. It accepts a 0.7188 inch (23/32 inch) tool shank and holds to a total indicated runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing the precision grip required for milling, drilling, and tapping operations on CNC and manual machine tools. With a body diameter of 1.06 inches and an overall length of 1.84 inches, this collet fits directly into compatible TG75 and PG75 toolholders. Machinists and tool room technicians install this collet as part of a standard toolholding setup requiring consistent concentricity and repeatable clamping force.
This collet is suited for production machining environments where TG75 or PG75 toolholding systems are already in use. It is a standard-type collet, meaning it uses a single angle contact surface for clamping. Typical applications include machining centers, vertical mills, and drill presses running cutting tools with a 23/32 inch shank diameter. The 0.0005 inch TIR rating makes it appropriate for precision work where runout control directly affects surface finish and tool life.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 collet series toolholders accepting a 0.7188 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before installing or removing any collet. Insert the collet into the toolholder before threading on the collet nut, and use the appropriate spanner wrench for the TG75 or PG75 nut — do not use pipe wrenches or improvised tools that can damage the collet or nut seating surfaces. Inspect the collet bore and toolholder taper for chips or burrs before assembly.
