The CENTAUR 50038 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG75 and PG75 collet chuck systems used in precision machining applications. This collet accepts a 0.6719 inch (43/64) diameter workpiece or cutting tool shank and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for operations where concentricity and repeatability are critical. The overall length measures 1.84 inches with a maximum body diameter of 1.06 inches. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this collet when setting up milling, drilling, or tapping operations that require a TG75 or PG75 toolholding platform.
This collet is used in machine shop environments, toolrooms, and production floor setups where TG75 or PG75 collet chucks are already in service. It is suited for both light and moderate-duty metal cutting operations. The standard single angle geometry provides consistent gripping force across the collet bore. Typical applications include end mill holding, drill holding, and tap holding on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses equipped with compatible TG75 or PG75 chucks.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 collet chuck systems requiring a 0.6719 inch bore collet.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is de-energized or released before inserting or removing the collet. Clean the collet taper and chuck bore of chips and coolant residue before seating to maintain the specified TIR. Do not exceed the chuck manufacturer's recommended torque when tightening the collet nut.
