The CENTAUR 50035 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG75 and PG75 collet systems used in precision machining applications. It accepts a 0.625 inch (5/8 inch) bore size and holds a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for work requiring consistent tool concentricity. The body measures 1.06 inches in diameter with an overall length of 1.84 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet into compatible TG75 or PG75 toolholders on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and lathes where repeatable tool holding is critical to part quality.
This collet is used in machine shop environments — both job shops and production facilities — where TG75 or PG75 toolholding systems are already in place. It is appropriate for holding round shank cutting tools, drills, reamers, and end mills with a 5/8 inch shank diameter. The standard single angle design follows the conventional TG collet geometry, fitting the full range of TG75 and PG75 collet chucks and toolholders that accept this series.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 series collet chucks and toolholders that accept the standard single angle collet geometry with a 5/8 inch bore size.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before installing or removing the collet, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Use the correct collet wrench or spanner for the TG75/PG75 chuck to avoid damaging the collet or chuck threads. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or contamination before seating the collet to maintain the stated TIR.
