The CENTAUR 50028 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG75 and PG75 tooling systems used in precision machining applications. This collet accepts a 0.5156 inch (33/64) bore diameter and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, supporting accurate, repeatable workholding on lathes, mills, and dedicated collet chucks. The body diameter measures 1.06 inches with an overall length of 1.84 inches. It is intended for installation by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel who require consistent grip and minimal runout in production or job-shop environments.
This collet is suited for use in machine shops running TG75 or PG75 collet chucks and spindle systems. The 33/64 bore size accommodates round stock, tooling shanks, or workpieces at that diameter. Its standard single angle design is appropriate for general-purpose turning, milling, and grinding setups where repeatable concentricity and secure clamping are required. Typical applications include production runs and precision prototype work in both manual and CNC machine tool environments.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 collet series tooling systems as a standard single angle collet in that series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and the spindle fully de-energized before handling. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips, burrs, or debris before seating the collet. Use the appropriate collet wrench or drawbar tool specified for the TG75 or PG75 chuck system — do not use improvised tools that could damage the collet taper or chuck nose. Verify TIR after installation using a dial test indicator before returning the machine to service.
