The C&DV-CD3910 is a core removal tool (CRT) designed for use with 1/4 inch flare access fittings on refrigeration and HVAC systems. It allows a technician to remove the Schrader core from a service port while the system remains under pressure, keeping the refrigerant charge intact. The tool includes a 1/4 inch male flare side port for attaching a manifold hose or gauge set. With the core removed and isolated inside the tool body, the system can be evacuated or charged through fully unrestricted lines, reducing pump-down and pull-down time significantly.
This tool is used in residential and light commercial HVAC service work wherever 1/4 inch flare access fittings are present. It is particularly useful during system evacuation, where leaving the Schrader core in place restricts flow and extends evacuation time. The side tap port also allows pressure readings to be taken without releasing refrigerant charge, making it a practical addition to any refrigeration service workflow. HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary users.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch flare access fittings found on residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
This tool is installed and operated by licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics. Before attaching the CRT, confirm system pressure and ensure all connections are rated for the working pressure of the refrigerant circuit. Follow EPA Section 608 regulations regarding refrigerant handling and containment. Do not remove the core or disconnect the tool from a pressurized port without a hose or gauge set properly attached to the side port.
