The CAVAGNA 44-1-190-0002 is a Type 90 OARA natural gas pressure regulator designed to handle both line pressure and gas appliance regulation duties in a single platform. It features a 1/2-inch inlet and 1/2-inch outlet, operates at 2 PSI inlet pressure, and delivers an outlet pressure of 7 to 11 inches water column set at 8 inches water column. The die-cast aluminum housing is rugged and corrosion resistant. The nitrile rubber diaphragm and washer provide reliable resistance to combustible gases across a wide ambient temperature range of -40 to 205 degrees F. A vent limiter (Type 03-18, 1/8 NPT thread) is supplied with the unit. In the event of diaphragm rupture, gas leakage is contained within ANSI standard levels.
The 44-1-190-0002 is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial natural gas applications. It is engineered to regulate both full-flow conditions and low-volume pilot flows with precise outlet pressure control. This makes it appropriate for gas appliance installations, service line regulation, and utility-specified applications where consistent downstream pressure is required regardless of flow demand. Licensed gas fitters and plumbers install this regulator in systems where stable delivery pressure is critical to appliance performance and safety.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation regulator for natural gas systems requiring a 1/2-inch connection, 2 PSI inlet pressure, and 7 to 11 inches water column outlet pressure in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply and verify the line is depressurized before removing or installing any regulator. Confirm inlet pressure, outlet pressure setting, and pipe sizing are appropriate for the connected appliance load before placing the system back in service. Do not overtighten threaded connections; use appropriate thread sealant rated for gas service.
