The CARRIER 40vmw007---3 is a ductless variable refrigerant flow (VRF) high wall indoor unit designed for single-zone residential and light commercial applications. It delivers 7,500 BTU/h of cooling capacity and 8,500 BTU/h of heating capacity using R-410A refrigerant. Operating on 208-230 VAC single-phase power at 60 Hz, this unit mounts to an interior wall and connects to a compatible outdoor condensing unit via 1/4-inch liquid line and 1/2-inch suction line flare fittings. Airflow ranges from 245 to 320 CFM across three blower motor speeds, and the unit operates at a sound level of 31.2 to 34 dBA. ETL and UL listed for code-compliant installation.
This wall-mount indoor unit is suited for residential bedrooms, additions, offices, and other conditioned spaces where duct distribution is not practical or available. It belongs to the Carrier 40VMW product family and is intended for pairing with a compatible Carrier VRF or ductless outdoor unit. Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician with EPA 608 certification for R-410A systems. The white finish and compact profile allow clean integration into finished interior spaces.
Designed for use within the Carrier 40VMW product family as a ductless VRF high wall indoor unit. Refer to the compatible Carrier outdoor unit documentation to confirm refrigerant circuit sizing and system matching before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding EPA 608 certification, as this system contains R-410A refrigerant. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the circuit before mounting or making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Flare connections on both the liquid and suction lines must be made to manufacturer torque specifications using proper flare tooling to prevent refrigerant leaks. Local mechanical and electrical codes, including NEC requirements for overcurrent protection, apply — maximum overcurrent protection is 15 amps as specified for this unit.
