The CARPENTER PATERSON 100-4 is a rod-mount clevis hanger designed to support non-insulated, stationary pipe lines from above in commercial and industrial piping systems. Fabricated from carbon steel with a black finish, it carries a load rating of 1430 pounds and a temperature rating of 650 degrees F. The hanger provides approximately 1 inch to 1.5 inches of vertical adjustment after the pipe is in place. A lower nut (not furnished) sets the pipe line to the proper elevation, while a top nut (not furnished) must be tightened securely to prevent loosening from vibration. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this fitting as part of overhead pipe support systems.
This clevis hanger is suited for 4-inch pipe in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital piping systems. It mounts via a 5/8-inch diameter rod and is built to meet the demands of high-load, stationary overhead pipe runs where vertical fine-tuning after installation is required. The 4-3/8-inch rod take-out dimension and 5-3/8-inch centerline distance are sized for standard 4-inch pipe applications in mechanical rooms, process facilities, and healthcare infrastructure.
Designed for use with 4-inch non-insulated stationary pipe lines in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital applications. Meets ASME B31.1, AA-1192A Type 1, ANSI/MSS SP-58/SP-69 Type 1, BSPSS-BS3974, UL, WW-H-171E Type 1, and FM standards.
Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters or plumbers in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Shut down and depressurize the pipe system before installing or adjusting the hanger. The lower nut (not furnished) must be used to achieve correct pipe elevation; the top nut (not furnished) must be tightened securely against the hanger to prevent vibration-induced loosening. Do not use this hanger to support insulated or moving pipe lines.
