The CARMEX SIR1000R22 is an indexable threading toolholder designed for internal threading operations on lathes and turning centers. Built in the SIR series, this right-hand toolholder accepts 22IR indexable inserts secured by a screw-clamp holding method, delivering consistent thread form and repeatable cutting edge positioning. The shank measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall with an overall length of 8 inches. Minimum bore diameter is 1.16 inches, making it suited for moderate to large internal thread applications. Installation is handled by machinist or toolroom staff in CNC and manual turning environments.

This toolholder is used in internal threading applications on CNC lathes and manual turning machines where right-hand tool orientation is required. The SIR style body positions the cutting edge at 0.71 inches from the center and 0.71 inches back of bar, providing clearance geometry appropriate for threading inside bores at or above the 1.16-inch minimum bore diameter. No coolant-through or coolant entry feature is included, so external coolant application should be planned accordingly. Typical applications include threading production parts, fittings, and flanges in metalworking shops.
