The CARMEX SER1000M22 is an indexable threading toolholder designed for external threading operations on lathes and turning centers. Built in the SER series, it accepts 22ER indexable inserts secured by a screw-clamp holding method for consistent insert positioning during threading passes. The toolholder features a square 1 x 1 inch shank and an overall length of 6 inches, making it suited for standard tool block setups on manual and CNC turning equipment. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production or job-shop environments.

This toolholder is configured for right-hand cutting in external threading applications. The SE-style holder positions the insert at the correct geometry for producing external thread forms on workpieces held in a chuck or collet. At 6 inches overall length with a back-of-bar to cutting edge distance of 1 inch, it fits most standard lathe tool posts and turrets without extended reach adapters. The unit does not include integrated coolant-through capability, so external flood or mist coolant supply should be directed at the cutting zone separately.
