The CARMEX 51300023 is a carbide threading insert designed for internal thread cutting operations. Built to MT7 manufacturer grade with a submicron carbide material grade, this insert delivers consistent thread form accuracy on ISO-standard profiles conforming to DIN 13. The C18 insert style seats in compatible toolholders used for bore threading on CNC lathes and turning centers. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this insert when producing internal ISO threads in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The coated carbide construction supports wear resistance across production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for internal threading applications on CNC lathes and live-tool turning centers where ISO metric thread forms are required. It follows the DIN 13 standard, making it appropriate for general machining work involving metric fastener threads in automotive, mechanical, and industrial fabrication settings. The C18 style and MT7 grade combination targets medium to fine threading passes in typical production cycles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for C18-style internal threading toolholders used in ISO metric threading applications conforming to DIN 13.
Threading inserts are installed and replaced by machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the insert. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert clamp to the recommended clamping torque indicated in the toolholder documentation. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before installing a new insert.
