The CARMEX 3/8INRH14UNP2 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal UN thread cutting at 14 threads per inch (TPI). Built to the 16 IR insert style, it features a PVD-applied TiN coating under the manufacturer grade P25C, which corresponds to a C5 material grade. The 60-degree included angle makes it suited for standard unified thread forms. At 0.375 inches inscribed circle diameter and 0.146 inches thick, this insert mounts in standard 16 IR toolholders. It is typically installed by CNC machinists and toolroom operators working internal threading operations on lathes and turning centers.
