The CARMEX 3/8EXRH20UNP2 is a laydown threading insert designed for right-hand external UN thread cutting at 20 threads per inch (TPI). Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiN (titanium nitride) PVD coating, this insert delivers consistent thread form geometry on a wide range of workpiece materials. The 60-degree included angle conforms to the UN thread standard. With a 3/8 inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.146 inches, the insert fits standard 16ER-style toolholders commonly used in CNC turning and threading operations. It carries grade P25C, positioning it for general-purpose and semi-finish threading applications.
