The CARMEX 3/8EXRH16UNP2 is a laydown-style solid carbide threading insert designed for external UN thread cutting at 16 threads per inch. It carries a TiN (titanium nitride) coating applied via PVD process, which improves surface hardness and wear resistance during threading operations. The insert features a 60-degree included angle, a 3/8 inch inscribed circle, and a thickness of 0.146 inches. It is configured for right-hand external threading and fits standard ER-style insert pockets on CNC lathes and turning centers.
