The CARMEX 22ER6UNBMA is a laydown threading insert designed for external UN thread forms at 6 threads per inch. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers consistent thread profile accuracy and extended tool life in demanding turning applications. The 60-degree included angle matches standard UN thread geometry. With a 1/2 inch inscribed circle and 0.187 inch thickness, this insert fits standard 22 ER style toolholders. It is installed by machinists and CNC lathe operators in production and job-shop environments where unified national thread forms are required on external workpiece features.
